The Dual Battery Designed OnePlus 8T Will Support 65W Ultra-Fast Charging

In the second half of 2019, when the OnePlus 7T got launched, it was the first-ever OnePlus device to have Warp Charge 30T. The company earlier this week revealed that it is coming up with a new T-series smartphone on October 14. The upcoming T-series device will be the OnePlus 8T, which will support 65W ultra-fast charging. Similar to the Warp Charge 30T, the company will be licensing this 65W ultra-fast charging technology from OPPO. The same fast charging technology can be seen in Realme, a part of OPPO’s parent company BBK, but that technology is branded as 65W SuperDart Charge.


OnePlus 8T All Set to Debut with the New 65W Ultra-Fast Charging Technology

There are no official confirmations yet that this new fast-charging technology would be called Warp Charge 65. OnePlus 8T will have a similar dual-battery design, like the one on the recent OPPO smartphones, so as to enable super-fast charging. However, OnePlus has not yet revealed the charging time of the device, and we are expecting it to be on the same level as the 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 flash charging technology of OPPO.

The recently launched OPPO Find X2 has a battery of 4,260mAh, which takes only 10 minutes to charge from zero to 40%. Overall, it only takes 38 minutes to charge fully.

The upcoming OnePlus 8T is also said to have a bit larger battery capacity of 4,500mAh. The majority of fast charging technologies use high-voltage and low-current solutions accordingly, but the patented charging technology of OPPO uses low-voltage and high-current solutions. To reduce the heat generation, the company has also transferred the step-down transformer from the device to the power adapter.

OnePlus 8T: Launch Date & Specifications

The OnePlus 8T will officially launch on October 14. The German website of Amazon, earlier this week, accidentally listed OnePlus 8T on its website, thus revealing its complete specifications alongside the available color options.

The OnePlus 8T will be available in two color variants, Lunar Silver and Aquamarine Green. It has a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

It will have a punch-hole selfie camera of 16-megapixel on the front and a quad-camera setup at the back. The OnePlus 8 could become the first smartphone to have the latest OxygenOS 11. The Android 11 based OxygenOS 11 looks almost similar to Samsung’s One UI.


OnePlus 8T is a premium handset with a vast number of impressive features. The device is all set to launch on October 14 with a 65W ultra-fast charging technology and two storage options.
