Ways to Restore Accidentally Removed Games

Method 1- Using Recycle Bin

If you haven’t deleted the files permanently, you can use the Recycle Bin to restore all lost files and folders of the game you deleted. This might not help you if you have uninstalled the game using the Windows Uninstaller via the Control Panel. Even if you have deleted the game using the Control Panel, you may still have game saved files in the Documents folder of your PC. You can first download and reinstall the game from the internet, and your game will continue where you left it. Sadly if you have deleted all files stored in the Documents folder, there is no way to get them back.

To restore a deleted game using the recycle bin, open the recycle bin.

  1. After that, find and select the file that you want to restore.
  2. Right-click the game file and then select the option that says restore.
  3. Wait for the restoring process to complete.
  4. This way, you can restore any game file that you deleted unintentionally.

Method 2- Using File Explorer

Please follow the instructions that I provide you down here:

  1. Open the File Explorer on your PC.
  2. Quickly navigate to the file directory where your game was placed.
  3. Once you reach the folder where your game was used to be, right-click inside the folder.
  4. Choose the Properties option.
  5. Now take yourself to the Previous Versions tab.
  6. Now select a previous version of this folder to restore it.

Once you have restored it, click the apply button and then hit the ok button to finalize the step. This way, you can regain your lost games on your computer. This method might not work if you deleted the game a long ago.


Method 3- Via File Recovery Tool

 There are dozens of third party utilities to recover your deleted files. You can use them to get your deleted video games back. There are several high-quality data recovery softwares available on the internet. One such software is the EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard.

It can recover any file that you have deleted intentionally or unintentionally. No matter how big the game was, it can restore all your games, movies, pictures, and other files.
